| N. spectabilis lower pitcher |
| The almost insectoid combination of yellow and brown characteristic of N. spectabilis draws the eye to it immediately. It is easy to grow, responding readily to highland conditions, and roots from cuttings without difficulty. Some very beautiful hybrids have been produced with this species, such as N. × spathulata × spectabilis. |
