N. mirabilis v. smilesii upper pitcher
N. mirabilis is a an easy lowlander.  Many forms exist, the most beautiful being v. smilesii, in our opinion (pictured).  However, we have found that this variety does not readily produce basal shoots, unlike other varieties of the species.  Other particularly beautiful varieties have red or pink tinted pitchers.  This plant grows at a fairly quick rate, and is easily reproduced from cuttings.
