N. hamata lower pitcher
Truly one of the most vicious-looking Nepenthes, the peristome of N. hamata is surrounded by perilous looking teeth.  Lower pitchers are flecked with dark red, as shown, while upper pitchers are generally almost pure green.  This species enjoys very high humidity, and responds well to typical highland conditions.
