N. diatas lower pitcher
N. diatas is, in our experience, a moderate to slow grower.  It is a true highland species, and in our care has required roughly the same temperature regime as N. villosa to grow truly well.  However, when well-grown, its pitchers become blood red and are quite gorgeous, surpassing even the rich hues of the more sanguine varieties of N. sanguinea.  In short, our image does not do it justice!
