| N. carunculata lower pitcher |
| This species is quite beautiful, especially N. carunculata v. robusta (pictured). Its leaves are thick and rubbery, and pitchers are rather stout. In bright light, the pitcher peristome darkens considerably over a period of about two weeks, until it is nearly black. Its rate of growth is steady; we have grown this plant from 4 cm diameter to full size in approximately two years. |
