| N. bongso lower pitcher |
| This species is quite beautiful. Its leaves are thick and rubbery, and pitchers are rather stout. In bright light, the pitcher peristome darkens considerably over a period of about two weeks, until it is nearly black. Its rate of growth is steady; we have grown this plant from 4 cm diameter to full size in approximately two years. |
