| N. bicalcarata lower pitcher |
| Truly, this is one of the most marvellous Nepenthes! Its fanged visage is quite memorable, making an impression on all who see it. It is relatively easy and robust in cultivation, but really thrives in only the warmest conditions. We do not recommend it for those with growing areas which routinely drop below 20 C at night. Our plants have endured brief dips down to 15 C, but in at least one such case, leaf damage did occur. Note that this species can grow to a diameter of nearly six feet, so this is not a plant for those without a greenhouse, or other large structure, in which to grow it. |
